A moving body is a healthy body. But with that said, we often move either too hard or in a damaging manner resulting in a spine and/or neck out of proper alignment. Spine and neck pain are just two of the indicators of poor spinal alignment. It is important to get your body adjusted and thank your body for all the hard work. Chiropractic adjustments will help improve your posture and mobility, decrease back and neck pain, and release muscle tension and trigger points. Chiropractic will do so much!
Chiropractic care is about so much more than joint manipulation. Looking at your neck pain it might be because you do not exercise or stretch and sit a lot or maybe it is hereditary. A lot will cause posterior neck pain. While other structures (joints, nerves, etc.) will contribute to posterior neck pain, a forceful strain of the cervical extensor musculature is definitely one possibility. Sports such as football, grappling and rugby, that involve more forceful neck contractions, tend to put athletes at a greater risk of suffering a neck strain. Neck pain must never be ignored. Most often neck pain occurs when the joints, muscles and ligaments in the neck become irritated or inflamed. Neck pain will range from minor and easily overlooked to excruciating when a patient cannot perform daily activities. Chiropractic will help. Chiropractors deliver non-invasive treatment. Chiropractic adjustments reduce joint restrictions and misalignments in the spine and other joints in the body to reduce inflammation and improve function of both the affected joint and nervous system.
There is a strong fascial connection between your neck and pelvic floor. The lower back of the body connects to the lower back all the way up to your neck. Thus, if you have ongoing tension in your neck and it is coming from your pelvis – massaging or treatment to your neck alone is not going to create long term change and make your neck tension go away. It is highly recommended to find a treatment that looks at your entire body rather than just focusing on the painful or tense area.
